Magics
Magics RP is one of the leading products in the field of Rapid Prototyping. It contains tools for visualisation, measuring and manipulation of STL files, fixing STL files, uniting shells, trimming surfaces, detecting double triangles, cutting STL files, punching holes, extruding surfaces, hollowing, performing Boolean operations with STLs an so on.

SDS
SDS team performs development and testing of the specific projects for customer. It could be either customization of one of Materialise products or brand-new software. SDS projects cover the fields like CAD/CAM, Rapid Prototyping and Rapid Tooling, Design automation (among others for Rapid Manufacturing), Reverse engineering, Business integration, Medical image processing etc. Among the customers of SDS are the companies like Ford, Phonak, Fast4M and other.

RSM
The RSM team develops the Rapid Shell Modeling software. The purpose of this software is the automated design of hearing aid shells. With the help of RSM, more than 1.5 million devices were produced and are being worn by hearing-loss patients throughout the world.

e-RP
e-RP team as a part of the Industrial software department is now integrating leading Materialise products into Enterprise Resource Planning framework using most recent technologies in software design and user interaction.

This department has the biggest number of teams. It consists of several Development Teams, Quality Control Team, Application Engineering and Research Teams. The next products are being developed here:

Mimics – fast, easy and powerful 3D image processing and editing tool based on scanner data. A range of segmentation tools allow users to select a region of interest. Within a few clicks this part is transformed into a 3D model on which real time rotation, pan, zoom and transparency functions can be applied.

Online solutions – customized web applications which helps to automate business process of retrieving and processing patient scans information, virtual surgery plan preparation, implants and SurgiGuides ordering, manufacturing, and distribution specifically for knee replacement surgeries.

All these software used by doctors worldwide for non-intrusive defects identification based on scans, virtual planning cranio-maxillofacial and knee implants operations, help in surgery itself.

This team develops applications for automation of internal business-processes in the company: To develop these applications MS SQL Server and ASP.Net (C#) are used.

Research Team
This team performs research and development of the core algorithms, which form basis of the Materialise Digital CAD kernel.

Deform for research

This kernel is used by the most of Materialise products. Usually, the developed algorithms relate to such areas as computational geometry, image processing, numerical methods etc. Due to the fact that Digital CAD kernel is used in quite complex processes with large volumes of data, the developed algorithms are required to satisfy quite strict speed and quality constraints.
 
Services Department Services Department
The department involved in several activities. Among major activities there are industrial and medical data manipulations, marketing engineering, translations and design. These activities distributed among three teams and internal translations are done by our freelance translator.

Orthopaedic team.
The team consists of two conversion groups and quality control group. The main activity there is medical data processing that includes segmentation, planning and design steps. The last group is responsible for quality control of each step.

STLFix team.
The team performs not only pure fixing but also different manipulations with CAD data. The modern sub-direction of such activity is the RapidFit+ technology where our team has proved their professionalism and reliability. Recently we have started new business activity: a remote quotation that offers our British and German offices new service to reduce time they spent on quotation preparation.

Marketing team.
The variety of tasks marketing team deals with in everyday work requires different specialists. The team includes CEO engineer, mailing and SharePoint specialist, graphical designer.

Translation
Inner translations activity is also very important part of our work. Our translator has a good experience in different medical, industrial and many other similar fields.
