In March 2008 the “Signature” project have been successfully launched in Materialise. This project is done with cooperation of the Biomet Orthopedics Company — the leader in the design and manufacture of total joint replacement products.
Today we are keeping on the strong development tendency of this direction.
By this project Materialise will again challenge the world operational treatment by providing innovating software and service that will make world healthier and better. Millions of people who have problems with their knees will get help. This step will be high important for further Materialise’ development and a significant achievement in a medical world.
Several teams in Materialise Ukraine are and will be taking part in this project. Due to the total and significant success up on the market, Materialise driven by Biomet, has got a lot of new customers and opportunities. That’s why the very important task for Materialise Ukraine now is to continue building up a strong team of professionals, that is able to perform Orthopedic service world wide on a high quality level.

MEDICAL ENGINEER
The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
- MS/BS degree in biomedical engineering, Medicine or interdisciplinary;
- Knowledge of radiology is a plus, especially in the knee area is a great plus;
- Advanced MS Windows 98/2000/NT/XP/vista user skills;
- Good communication skills;
- Good English level both in speech and writing is required;
- Basic knowledge of CAD systems and medical cad programs. Working with CT/MRI- scanners is a plus;
- A successful candidate should be open-minded, positive thinking and communicative person;
- Able to have business trips to Belgium.
Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
- Conversion of scanned data into 3-dimensional models;
- Processing, preparation and conversion of such data;
- Using a design tool to create a “knee surgyguides”, make planning of surgery.
